Social support for integration practices of Ukrainian veterans in higher education

چکیده
The article studies the features of social adaptation veteran students in Ukrainian universities. motivation veterans to enter universities has been analysed. main problems their university environment are revealed. Some results five in-depth semi-structured interviews with Kharkiv presented. In particular, value foundations veterans’ enrol have identified. It is emphasised that perceive higher education as both terminal and instrumental value. Attention focused on fact ambivalence influenced educational veterans, for whom entering an opportunity, one hand, become educated self-realised person (terminal value) and, other a good salary, make career, take status position society (instrumental value). positive influence military experience practices opinion most respondents given regarding army taught them discipline, punctuality, which made more self-confident. concluded contributes developing some metacognitive learning skills such discipline punctuality. academic integration considered. do not difficulties communication teachers inclined segregate from them.
